NURTURE conducted its two-day 2023 Annual Seminar at Scandic Ambassadeur Hotel, Drammen with the presence of stakeholders from NORAD, USN, UiO, JU, HU, AASTU, UoG, DMU, and Norwegian Center for E-Health Research, and, at the end of the second day, the participants had a discussion meeting at NORAD’s headquarter at Oslo and did a little sightseeing. Day 1
* 8:30-9:00 – Dr. Shegaw Mengiste, NURTURE’s project coordinator and Associate Professor at USN School of Business, welcomed the attendees and started the seminar by introducing the participants and the project.
* 9:00-9:15 – Professor Eiri Elvestad, Vice Dean of USN School of Business, gave a presentation about USN’s status and its strategic ambitions regarding participation in international projects.
* 9:15-9:30 – Anette Løken, Senior Advisor at NORAD, Section for Higher Education and Research, gave a presentation about NORAD and its international collaborations and target goals via funding NURTURE.
* 9:30-9:45 – Dr. Asrat Astedeweyin, President of University of Gondar, gave a presentation about the NURTURE project and its Annual Seminar.
* 9:45-10:15 – Dr. Shegaw Mengiste, NURTURE’s project coordinator and Associate Professor at USN School of Business, gave a presentation about the overview of the NURTURE project and its project outputs and outcomes.
* 10:45-11:10 – Mr. Daniel Tadesse, NURTURE project coordinator at UoG, gave a presentation about the status of the UoG and its outcomes, goals, and challenges regarding the implementation of the NURTURE project.
* 11:10-11:30 – Dr. Kuula Kekeba, NURTURE project coordinator at AASTU, gave a presentation about the project activities, outcomes, and challenges at AASSTU.
* 11:30-11:50 – Dr. Tesfaye Nayuu, NURTURE project coordinator at HU, gave a presentation about the project activities, outcomes, and challenges at HU.
* 11:50-12:10 – Dr. Askalemariam, NURTURE project coordinator at DMU, gave a presentation about the project activities, outcomes, and challenges at DMU.
* 12:10-12:30 – Dr. Esmael Kedir, NURTURE project coordinator at JU, gave a presentation about the project activities, outcomes, and challenges at JU.

* 13:30-14:00 – Professor Jens Kasballl, Professor at the INstitute of Informatics, University of Oslo, gave a presentation about the experiences on NURTURE and other global projects.
* 14:00-14:30 – Siri Gro Bjørnsta, Senior Advisor at International Office, USN, gave a presentation about the experiences and challenges of strategic partnership, internationalization, and student mobility.
* 14:30-15:00 – Dr. Binyam Tilahun, Vice President of UoG, NURTURE and SEARCH project coordinator at UoG, gave a presentation about the experiences, opportunities, and challenges of student mobility for Ethiopian students.
* 15:30-16:00 – Dr. Ellen Carm, Associate Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University, gave a presentation about ensuring women empowerment plans of NURTURE project through innovative strategies.
* 16:00-16:20 – Dr. Tesfaye Bayu and Dr. Askalemariam Adamu, hold the discussion panel for the NURTURE action plan and project outcome 1, regarding the quality and relevance of education, and research programs and methods in eHealth, informatics, and special needs.
* 16:20-16:40 – The discussion panel for the NURTURE action plan and project outcome 2, regarding increased capacity and improved competence of academic staff, that was supposed to be held by Professor Jörn Klein, Professor at the Institute of Health and Life Sciences, USN, was deferred for the second day.
* 16:40-17:00 – Abraham Berhanu and Binyam Taye, the latest SEARCH and NURTURE exchange students at USN at the Ph.D. level, gave a presentation about their experiences, opportunities, and challenges in Norway.
* 19:00-21:00 – Seminar Dinner

* 10:15-10:35 – Dr. Binyam Tilahun and Dr. Shegaw Mengiste held the discussion panel for the NURTURE project outcome 5, regarding increased engagement with relevant stakeholders and partnership with national, regional, and international actors.
* 10:45-11:15 – Kathrine Horgen Strømmen, Project Controller at the Finance Department, USN, gave a presentation about the overview of financial issues and budget management of the NURTURE project.
* 11:15-11:35 – Dr. Shegaw Mengiste, concluded the seminar by pointing out the remarks of the project and the seminar.
* 13:00-16:00 – Group discussion meeting at NORAD’s headquarter in Oslo.
* 16:00-18:00 – Oslo sightseeing
